In the San Pedro Alcántara district of Marbella, some residential areas have pavement discontinuities that pose a risk to pedestrians. To improve conditions for residents, the city council has proposed an urban regeneration plan focused on enhancing mobility, accessibility, and removing architectural barriers.

As part of this effort, the project includes adapting pedestrian crossings, repairing damaged paving, tree pits, utility covers, and other urban elements, as well as addressing areas affected by tree roots — all with the goal of creating a more accessible and people-friendly city.
